Halloween Happiness !

A little Halloween everyday ought to do it!!

The name Halloween (originally spelled Hallowe’en) is a contraction of All Hallows Even, meaning the day before All Hallows Day (better known today as All Saints Day), a Catholic holiday commemorating Christian saints and martyrs observed since the early Middle Ages on November 1.
One of the activities to celebrate was “going souling”, which consisted of going door-to-door offering prayers for the dead in exchange for “soul cakes” and other treats.
It has evolved as not only a Catholic holiday, but now a fun holiday for children as well as adults!

A  few decorated bottles,

A Samhain Alter,

I filled my little bottles with various
Herb's, Salts and Powders,

Some candy cones for the Grand Children,

I happen to have some extra old photos,
so this year I decorated them with antique silk, lace,
tulle, put a ribbon on the top for hanging,
then gave them scary names,

More next week,
The Witch's New Year !!!
